Honey Boo Boo

I'm not on board with this whole Honey Boo Boo circus act.  It kind of terrifies me that this is what passes for entertainment these days. (more on that please find and watch the South Park episode of Honey Boo Boo.  Like always they're spot on.)

What's even more terrifying is to stop and think about who this little girl is going to grow up to become.  Look at all the child stars that came off as sweet and innocent when they were young and the terrible drug addicts most of them became as adults. (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Danny Bonaduce, the Olsen twins) These people were well-behaved and generally charming as children.

This child they call Honey Boo Boo is loud, impolite, shows very poor social skills as well as self-control, and is generally awful.  I can't imagine what a terrible adult she will turn into down the line.  My only hope is that her show is cancelled and she's able to escape from the limelight before she's completely lost.  Although, judging from what I've seen of her family and lifestyle, her fate may already be sealed.

Check out the above spoof by Kelly and Michael on Live.

And, I agree. The whole Honey Boo Boo fad is frightening. They are basically mocking these people for their lack of intelligence.

I also saw the South Park episode. Hilarious, but it's so sad that it's true.

You look on the TV guide now-a-days and you see drunk teenagers on the Jersey Shore, rebellious amish folks, and rambling pageant families.

  3. I agree, I don't get what's so fascinating about Honey Boo Boo. I've never seen an episode of the show and with all the awful things I've heard, I can't imagine why anyone would want to watch it either.

  4. Was there anyone who ever was on board with that show? I never even knew about it until South Park did a parody of it.

Indeed, what passes for entertainment actually just makes me almost... saddened would be too dramatic of a word choice but I think you get my point.

  5. That little girl is such a bitch!! No doubt she is going to become conceited and take for granted life just because she was on a TV show when she was younger. And those little girl debutantes, even in the Toddlers & Tiaras you can see the recipe for disaster. They're all drama queens and will grow up to be an even worse version of what they are now. I can see it all playing out right now. And I think she gets it from her mother....
